I'm so excited to announce that the project I've been working on for the past few months is finally live - Becoming the Medicine ebook! ✨
Stepping onto the Path
When I first began my journey into healing and self-discovery, I remember feeling completely overwhelmed. There were so many practices, traditions and teachers out there and I honestly didn’t know where to begin. I jumped from one thing to the next, often wondering if I was doing it “right” — or if I was even on the right path at all.
Maybe you’ve felt that too — that sense of searching for answers, but not knowing which way to turn.
The Turning Point
Over time, what I realised is that the journey itself is the medicine. Each step, each breath, each practice we try and return to, slowly becomes part of the bigger picture. It wasn’t about finding one single method or one ultimate “fix.” It was about learning, exploring and allowing space for my own wisdom to emerge.
I discovered the power of sound, the deep reset of breathwork, the resilience born from cold water, the reflection that comes through journaling and the gentle heart-opening of cacao. Beyond those practices, I found myself drawn into the world of plant medicine and shamanism — traditions that have been held and honoured by indigenous cultures for thousands of years. These teachings reminded me that healing isn’t only about the self; it’s also about our relationship with the Earth, the elements and the unseen.
Plant medicines — from the ceremonial use of cacao to other sacred plants — have a way of opening doors within us that we didn’t even know were closed. They invite us to feel more deeply, to see with clarity, and to connect with something greater than ourselves. Shamanic practices, with their songs, rituals and connection to spirit, showed me that healing can be both deeply personal and beautifully communal.
What struck me most was how these ancient traditions aren’t about “fixing” us, but about reminding us of what we already carry inside. They teach us to sit with the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden, to listen to the wisdom of nature and to find medicine not just in ceremony, but in everyday life.
Together, sound, breathwork, cold water, journaling, cacao and plant medicine became stepping stones on a path that keeps unfolding — a path of remembering that the true medicine is within and that everything around us is here to support that journey.
Because while the practices may look different on the surface, they all point to the same truth: the medicine we’re searching for isn’t out there somewhere. The real medicine is within us, waiting to be remembered.
None of these on their own had all the answers — but together, they began to weave a tapestry of healing and connection.
Why Becoming the Medicine
That’s why I created Becoming the Medicine. It’s a space where I’ve gathered everything I’ve learnt along the way, so that others don’t have to feel as lost as I once did. Think of it less like a textbook and more like a companion — a guide you can return to when you need inspiration, a reminder that you’re not alone and a collection of practices you can explore at your own pace.
This is for anyone who is just beginning and for those who have been walking the path for years but want to deepen their connection. My hope is that it helps you to trust your journey and discover the unique medicine that lives inside you.
Because the truth is, the healing we seek isn’t something “out there.” The real medicine is already within us — and the journey is simply about remembering.
✨ Welcome to Becoming the Medicine. I’m so glad you’re here.
