Creativity Flow.. It Just Needs Space!❤️

Happy Friday all!

So in my last entry, I said I had quit my job and was spending time coming back to myself. To be honest, I'm loving it. I'm working some part time jobs at the moment, to keep money coming in, but what I've really been putting my energy into is creating things. I'm working on some exciting projects that I'll be sharing soon, but what I've realised is, I absolutely love writing. Whether it's any good, the jury is still out on that one, but the difference is - I'm doing it for me. I'm not worrying what others think or if it's perfect (always put blockers in my way by thinking things need to be perfect). I'm doing it because I enjoy it and it helps me. It lights me up :)

What I've realised is, aside from journalling, I've never given myself the time or space to create properly. I've always been in survival mode, panicking about money and to be honest, following the money - not what lights me up. Giving myself this time, I've really realised that I can create so much better when I have the time and space to be really intentional with it. I'm really excited to share what I've been working on, I'm just sorting out all of the backend at the moment, then I'll be sharing :)

My Nan actually sent me a picture of the story I wrote when I was a kid about my old dog Scruffy, I ended up reading it out loud in school assembly. She said I also wrote stories about the horses, I used to have such a crazy imagination! Seeing her pictures and retelling the tales of how I used to just write for fun, really got me inspired again.

Creativity needs time and space to thrive. We need time and space to thrive.

I've struggled this year, trying to fit myself into situations that would normally be right up my street. I've made plans, got excited for them, then cancelled at the last minute. I've just wanted to be at home, with the dog and working on my projects. The year 1 hermit mode is a real thing! haha I feel like I'm a caterpillar in the chrysalis - soon I'll be ready to fly :) Just got to be kind to myself and listen into what I really need. Even when we might feel that we're not moving forward, we are. I believe the Universe is preparing us for a new bigger chapter, we just have to get ready for it.

I did have a random thought the other night... the Modern day Hunter Gatherers are the freelancers/entrepreneurs/business owners - always on the hunt for new opportunities, clients and deals . It takes courage. To follow your dreams, to take the risk, to drown out the noise of society, of others, to listen into what you know will light you up and to follow it. It's not easy and sometimes you'll question your own sanity and why you even began in the first place.. just know that it'll be worth it. Even if you feel like you're behind - you're not.

You're right on track and what is meant for you will always find it's way to you. The Universe is always working in your favour. Even when you can't see it. You've got this ✨
